Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address entered to the outside search provider that supplies the results. California People Search does not retain a separate copy of those queries on its servers. A message sent through the contact channel contains only the details you choose to provide, and those details are used to answer the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps maintain the site and shows which California resource pages visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above supports site operations, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. California People Search does not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to California state agencies, county recorder and assessor offices, superior courts, libraries, or outside search services. Information submitted after leaving this site is controlled by the destination's own privacy policy. The same rule applies to sponsored results supplied by a third-party company.
When Information Is Shared
Hosting and technical providers may process server logs to operate the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information already described. Visitor data may also be disclosed in response to valid legal process; it is not otherwise shared.
Safeguarding Your Information
An encrypted connection protects data in transit. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated operational purposes require. Because visitors do not create accounts, California People Search holds no site password or account profile for them.
Visitors Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor may have submitted information, contact California People Search so it can be removed.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may give California residents rights to know, access, correct, or delete covered personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit certain uses of sensitive information. California's Delete Act and data-broker provisions appear at Civil Code §§ 1798.99.80-1798.99.89. Because this site retains very little, a request will usually involve checking contact messages and server logs. Submit one through the Contact page.
Government records follow different rules. Records held by a California state, county, or city office may be subject to the California Public Records Act, Government Code § 7920.000 et seq., and to record-specific confidentiality laws. California People Search cannot delete or correct a custodian's file; direct that request to the agency, county recorder or clerk-recorder, assessor, superior court, or other office that maintains it.
Policy Revisions
Any revised privacy terms will appear on this page. Using California People Search after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
